This verse connects me to James’ teaching on the tongue. I remain convicted every day of the things that slip out of my mouth that are uncalled for, wrong, mean, or stupid. Jesus points out they come from the heart. God forgive me for my untamed thoughts and untamed tongue.
Ah yes — how fast those comments blurt out ……. Of my heart!! 😳. So very convicting …. Yikes! 😔
