James 3.

It’s a good day when I see this fruit.

16 For where there is jealousy and selfishness, there is disorder and every evil practice. 17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, accommodating, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, and not hypocritical.18 And the fruit that consists of righteousness is planted in peace among those who make peace.

James 3:16-18

Not every day is a good day.

  1. I love verses 17&18. In the NLT, vs 18 reads, “And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.” It always strikes me that the peace seeds don’t result in peace fruit, but rather in righteousness. How strange. And an encouragement to continue sowing seeds of peace knowing the fruit will result in my righteousness and leave the making of peace to God.
