Acts 21.

I know I’m a quirky reader of the text sometimes. All of this activity takes place in Acts 21, and I’m struck by this phrase: “… and there on the beach we knelt to pray.”

  1. Perhaps in a similar way, I stopped at 37, where Paul, after being dragged, beat, and hauled toward the barracks, politely/meekly asks if he may speak to the commander. Then permission to speak to the people.
